Short version: the calculator runs entirely in your browser, your inputs never leave your device, and there are no accounts or sign-ups. This page explains the details in plain English.

Information we do not collect

There is no registration, no user database, and no form that sends us your project details. The calculator's inputs (dimensions, material, price) are processed by JavaScript on your device and are never transmitted to us or anyone else. We don't ask for your name, email, or payment information anywhere on this site.

Browser storage (localStorage)

The site stores three small values in your browser's localStorage: your last calculator inputs, your consent-banner choice, and a flag if you dismiss the preferred-source banner. This storage stays on your device, is readable only by this site in your browser, and is never shared. Clearing your browser data removes it. If you use the "Copy share link" button, your inputs are encoded in the URL hash — anyone you send that link to can see the calculation, so don't include anything you consider private (it's gravel math, but still).

Cookies and advertising

Today, this site sets no tracking cookies and loads no third-party trackers. Advertising placeholders on the pages are inert markup. If Google AdSense is enabled in the future, Google and its partners may set cookies or use device identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where you have consented. At that point we will connect a Google-certified consent management platform (Funding Choices), and you will be able to accept or decline personalized advertising with the controls shown at that time. You can review Google's practices at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Server logs

Like nearly every website, our hosting provider records standard request logs — IP address, requested page, browser type, timestamp — for security and operational purposes. We use them only in aggregate to keep the site running, and we do not attempt to identify individuals from them.

Children's privacy

This site is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since no personal information is collected at all, nothing about a child is stored or shared. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and contact

You control everything already: clear site data to erase the stored inputs, decline the consent banner, and block third-party scripts with any modern browser. We will update this policy if the site's practices change, with a new effective date shown above.
